iO welcomes Jerry Hamal as Country Director for Belgium

iO, the leading digital agency, welcomes Jerry Hamal as the new Country Director for Belgium. He's trading his MD role at Randstad Digital Belgium for an exciting new challenge at iO. With his extensive experience at the intersection of marketing, communications, digital and technology, he strengthens the organisation at a time when iO is fully committed to further growth in talent, customer experience and AI.

A profile with a proven track record

Jerry Hamal brings a unique combination of agency and client-side experience. He previously helped build an internal agency of 100 people at Telenet that was responsible for all digital touchpoints, and was Managing Director of Randstad Digital Belgium, a role Jerry is now trading for an exciting new challenge at iO. He knows what building, growing and working at scale means.

In addition, Jerry has always taken on a commercial role, with a keen eye for customer focus, efficiency, cost structures and culture. His technology background aligns seamlessly with iO's strong tech and AI focus.

"Jerry is a real asset," says Pieter Janssens, CEO at iO. "He combines leadership, commercial drive and technology and marketing knowledge — exactly what we need for the next growth phase of iO in Belgium."

AI growth as a priority

Jerry Hamal is clear about his ambitions: "The coming months will be all about kickstarting AI for our clients. No slides or high-level talk, but clear solutions when it comes to using AI in our clients' growth — whether that's in operations, sales or marketing. That's what clients are waiting for." This approach aligns with the direction iO is taking as an AI-driven agency, including iO Bonzai as its own AI platform for clients.
